University Students & Verifying Enrollment

All university students being recommended for a license or having their background clearance validated must make sure you have updated your enrollment status in USIMS.

The university cannot

verify your background clearance

recommend you for a license

until you have completed this task.

Complete the steps below.

1. Login to the USIMS website https://usims.schools.utah.gov

2. You will see a Checklist of items completed please look for the completed task item labeled "Personal Information". When you hover over this task, it turns blue, indicating you can click to enter, and edit the ta

3. For the university to recommend you for a license, you must indicate you are enrolled in a university.

4. Indicate which university you’re enrolled in for the Educator Preparation Program.

5. Once you have indicated the university you're enrolled in, click Save.

6. Scroll back up to the top and click on "Home" to return to your main dashboard. You can log out of USIMS at this point.
