RDS Web Portal initial setup for Cactus, University Recommends, and CSSCAPES
When an account is created 2 emails are generated automatically and sent to the user of the new account. One email contains their username and the other email has the temporary password.
Start with the Username email to follow the account creation steps then complete the password reset and setup.

To finish creating the account follow the steps below:
2. Copy and paste the username and password from the emails that were sent, ensure there are no spaces before or after the username/password when copying.
3. Click “Login”.
The following screen will appear and ask you to establish 3 security questions. These will be used at the end of the process and for password recovery later.
4. Choose your security questions.
5. Click “Continue”.
The next screen will ask you to select an image.
6. Choose an image you will remember.
7. Click “Continue”.
The system will now ask the 3 security questions you selected previously.
8. Enter the answer to each of the security questions.
9. Click “Continue”.
The system will send a Pin code to your email address.
10. Open your email, locate the pin code, and enter it into the pin code box.
11. Click “Continue”.
The system will ask you to choose the image you selected previously.
12. Select your image.
13. Click “Continue”.
The system will now ask one of your security questions as a test run.
14. Answer the question.
15. Click “Continue”.
You will receive a message that states "Test Run Successful, your identity was confirmed."
16. Click “Continue”.
You will be sent to the final enrollment screen.
DO NOT click on any of the buttons on this screen.
17. Verify that you have the GREEN " Enrolled" message and click on the LOGOUT button in the upper right-hand corner.
Password Creation/Reset
For initial password creation follow these steps.
2. Click on “Reset My Password”.
The system will ask you to identify who you are.
3. Enter your username from the first email sent.
The system will send a Pin code to your email.
4. Open your email, locate the pin code, and enter it in the pin code box.
5. Click “Continue”.
The system will ask you to select your image and answer one of your security questions from the first initial setup to be verified.
6. Select the correct image and answer the security question.
7. Click “Continue".
The Reset Password screen will appear.
8. Enter your new password following the guidelines in the message box to the right.
9. Reenter the password in the "Confirm New Password" box.
10. Click the “Reset Password” box.
If the reset is successful, you will receive the following message "Password Reset Succeeded" on the screen.
