17 STEPS
1. The first step is to open a web browser and visit USIMS website. click Sign in or sign up
2. The preferred method to get established as a USIMS user is using the SSO (Single Sign-On) option. This option will require you to use either a Microsoft or Google Account, you will not need to create (or keep track) of a USIMS account profile.
3. Note: Unsure which to choose?
If your email is hosted by Google, or you are using Gmail, you have a Google Account.
4. If you select the Google Account you wish to use (multiple accounts may be listed). Continue to sign into your Google account.
If you are not using a personal computer, you will need to enter your email address.
5. Note: Unsure which to choose?
If your email is hosted by Microsoft, or you are using Hotmail, Outlook, MSN, you have a Microsoft Account.
6. If you select the Microsoft option you wish to use, continue to sign into your Microsoft account.

7. Now that your social account via Microsoft or Google has been identified, your email address and name should populate on the user registration screen. You may now proceed with the Authentication & Verification Process. Click Send verification code.
8. Click Send verification code
9. Check your email for a 1 time verification code.
You will now receive a system-generated email. Check your email inbox. Details below:

10. Type in the verification code

12. Click on field and type First Name

13. Type Last Name
14. All fields should now be completed. Click Continue
15. That's it. You have completed registering as a new user for USIMS with the Google SSO Option. Remember you can now use your Google Username and password to access USIMS. You are now at the main Educator Licensing Portal Dashboard.
16. Please allow a few moments for the system to determine what task items need to be completed.
17. After a few moments, you should see task items in a checklist. If you do not, please log out and close your browser, then log back in. Contact the USIMSHelp@schools.utah.gov if you experience technical issues.
